Hi everyone!  I just took a test in my Hebrew class, and my brain is a
little fried... but hopefully I'll be able to remember all the things
I wanted to tell you about.  First of all, happy Thanksgiving!  For
those of you who I got to see on the computer, I just want to let you
know how much that meant to me.  Not being home for Thanksgiving was
quite sad, and it made me really happy to still feel like I was a part
of the celebration in Maryland!

For Thanksgiving here, they held a special celebration for the kids on
my program.  They invited everyone in Israel who had gone on Nativ (my
program), and in total, there must have been over 200 people here. 
There was a cute little video showing what we had done so far this
year, and the a capella group (that I'm in!!) performed in front of
everyone.  I took a video and tried to attach it to the message, but
my internet isn't good enough to do so.
Maybe I'll try again later.  Anyway, after the opening, we had a nice
meal with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie
(unfortunately there was none of Aunt Mary Louise's turkey cake), and
then proceeded to stay up all night, watching every Thanksgiving
episode of "Friends" in the big auditorium.  It was very fun.

Another really cool thing that I've done was going to hear Israeli
politicians speak.  As most of you know, Israeli politics is my
passion and one of my prime interests, so getting to hear people speak
(in English) was like a dream come true.  I heard Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu speak, and my friends took pictures of my reaction when he  came out.  I looked like a 4-year-old going to Disney World for the  first time.  There's a really good chance that he'll be elected Prime
Minister in February.
I also heard Tzipi Livni speak, who I was not as impressed by, but
was still interesting, nevertheless.  They were speaking for a special event called the     General Assembly, or GA, which translated to me  getting a lot of free stuff.
Needless to say, I enjoyed myself.
